Event Overview
Nuclear fuel cycle simulators, independently developed and used in different countries, each have distinct design philosophies and functions. While existing benchmarks and code catalogs are useful, effectively communicating their actual usability and analysis processes to users remains a challenge.
Therefore, at the Code Showcase, live demonstrations of each code will be conducted to broadly share their features between developers and users. This will not only facilitate improvements of existing codes but also foster community building and generate ideas for joint research. Code developers will be asked to give short oral and poster presentations, while general participants may enter and leave freely.
Basic Format: Hybrid style for short oral presentation and poster presentation
- Each participating developer gives a short presentation of less than 5 minutes at the start of this event. It includes introductions of the developing team and their codes. The presentations will be recorded and distributed via the NEA catalog later.
- Code overviews and results of typical scenario analysis are presented on posters.
- Each developer gives a live demonstration on their laptops if possible. Execution screens, input data examples, and output results are displayed.
- Participants are free to move between booths.
- A summary paper (A4) compiling the results of the scenarios and the features of your code can be distributed to participants.
- The organizing committee will prepare code’s logo stickers for each code. Please distribute one sticker to one participant. This is an incentive for participants to visit each booth.
- There is a wrap-up session at the end. The developers discuss the results of the scenario and the differences of the codes and share the impressions of the Code Showcase.
